Timecards – structure
Timecards used in the Can-Am Iceland Hill Rally were designed during Covid to minimise contact between competitors and marshals. Their size is A4 and may be used on both sides. As always the crew is solely responsible for the timecard. This is especially important for buggy drivers to note – so please store in a dry safe place.

The timecard has colour coded lines, the light red sections are where a marshal writes, the green sections give the time to the next time control and the white sections are where the co-driver writes.
The example here shows an empty timecard.
All special stages are self-start, which means there is no marshal doing the countdown at the start of a stage, nor registering any time. A crew is expected to go on his time on the minute using GPS time or http://www.time.is.
Timecard Example

After a leg (a period of stages) has been finished the timecard should look like the example shown here. Below is a description in chronological order of how the timecard was filled in and of each line in the timecard.
- A) TC-1: Time in (Marshal’s entry)
The crew arrives at the time control (red clock) where the marshal enters the arrival time. In this example 17:37. - B) Wait time for starting SS-1
This is the time between arrival at the time control and starting the special stage. In this example this is 3 minutes which should be added to the time in the line above (17:37). - C) SS-1: Reykjanes
In this line the crew enters their start time at the special stage. This is done by adding the times in the above two lines. In this example the numbers are 17:37 + 0:03 = 17:40. - D) Time to get to TC-2
This is the time between starting the special stage (SS-1) and arriving at the next time control (TC-2A). In this example this is 22 minutes which should be added to the time in the line above (17:40). - E) TC-2A: Time in
In this line the crew enters the arrival time at the next time control (red clock). In this example the numbers are 17:40 + 0:22 = 18:02. - F) Wait time for starting SS-2
This is the time between arrival at the time control and starting the special stage. In this example this is 3 minutes which should be added to the time in the line above (18:02).
G) SS-2: Stapi
In this line the crew enters when to start the special stage. This is done by adding the times in the above two lines. In this example the numbers are 18:02 + 0:03 = 18:05.
