Why do the Iceland Hill Rally?
The main reason Iceland is a good venue for you to consider competing in the Iceland Hill Rally are the truly unique official highland roads and tracks available to us as organisers. As long as we use the official list of tracks and stay off the delicate countryside we can provide an almost endless matrix of stages, from short and technical to long flowing Dakar style.
Iceland harnesses natural wealth trapped beneath the surface and with hard work and technology provides some of the cheapest energy in the world. This can be seen in the famous Blue Lagoon, just 15 minutes from the airport. It is like decontamination for travel blues. In the Reykjavik area you will find more than sixteen swimming pools, all with hot-tubs to further the decontamination and prepare you for the three days of competition.
Further away from the hustle and bustle of Reykjavik you will find tranquility, places to relax and enjoy. Walk across a bridge said to be between Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. Go to the secret lagoon, possibly the worst kept secret in Iceland.
